Er hat eine Fläche von 1.256 km² und 610.000 Einwohner (Stand: Ende 2018<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>).
</p><p>Der Kreis Huaining setzt sich aus sechzehn Großgemeinden und sieben Gemeinden zusammen.
